Note for iPhone users: You will need to download TestFlight first. The Otanu App link will then download inside of TestFlight automatically, and will become accessible via your iPhone's home screen.

Create Account

  1. Tap "Sign Up".
  2. Enter an email account that ends in "@gmail.com", unless instructed to use an alternate domain.
  3. Input name, display name, and create a memorable password.
  4. Save your password for future testing sessions.
  5. Tap "Sign Up" to complete registration.

Join a Chat

  1. Click the small "Join Chat" button in the top right corner, and confirm join when prompted.
  2. Tap the main Join Chat button to join the Queue. You will enter a chatroom shortly.
  3. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted.

Note: Join Chat will convert to the Hang Up button when you're in the queue.

Troubleshooting: If waiting over 2 minutes without seeing other participants, please hang up, close, and restart the app and attempt to join again. Please contact us if issues persist.

Starting the Chat

  1. Each user will receive a letter (A, B, C, D) after entry.
  2. User A: Click "Start" once all 4 participants are ready and the chatroom will begin.

The Chatroom

  1. Each level, a prompt will appear at the top of your screen.
  2. A green border will display around the speaker with the time remaining in the turn displayed below the prompt.
  3. When all 4 levels are complete, the chatroom will proceed to open discussion.
  4. Feel free to stay and chat as long as you'd like or try to join a new chatroom if you wish.

Note: All other users will be muted during a speaker's turn.

Leaves the chat.
